- Territorio Exclusivo
El derecho de exclusividad territorial otorga al franquiciatario el derecho para desarrollar un territorio en particular. El franquiciante no puede vender otras franquicias dentro de ese territorio.
- Territorio Protegido
Un área o límite geográfico designado, otorgado al franquiciatario de conformidad con los términos y condiciones de un contrato de franquicia. El franquiciante conviene en no abrir otro negocio, ya sea franquiciado o propio, idéntico o similar dentro del territorio protegido (asignado) del franquiciatario.
- Tying
Forcing a franchisee to purchase one product as a condition to the sale of another. Tying may be illegal if the products used in the franchise operation can be acquired from other sources at a more competitive price. The product must, however, be judged "equal to - or better than" the products specified by the franchisor in terms of quality.
